YB Tuan Haji Fadillah bin Yusof
Deputy Minister of Science, Technology & Innovation
Speaking at the launch of Innovation - Enabling Transformation book by Tan Sri Dr Limkokwing, Kuala Lumpur, 15 January 2010.
"In view of what is taking place globally the need to fully develop the eco-system becomes a priority for the Government where the need to strengthen the machinery and sharpen our responses become pertinent. This will require everyone to recognise the need to educate themselves on what creativity is all about and how it is related to innovation.
We have arranged programmes nationwide to bring this agenda to the people on the ground to appreciate and spur innovation and creativity. The celebration for Malaysia Innovative 2010 will be launched by the Honourable Prime Minister on 27th January 2010."

Thank You YB Tuan Haji Fadillah bin Yusof

"The desire to innovate, rarely, if ever, occurs to people who are in their comfort zones. Innovators are almost always found at the cutting edge, where they deploy resources and create mechanisms to push the boun-daries.
It is for this reason that I would like to pay tribute to such a person, that is Tan Sri Dato Sri Dr Limkokwing. A man I applaud for his ceaseless pursuit of innovation and the proof of his success in constant re-invention, not only himself, but in his passion for Limkokwing University that bears both his name and his philosophy. Tan Sri Lim is a man who has dedicated his life to creativity for the past 15 years or more and has talked passionately about innovation as the way forward for the nation to build the competi-tive edge in the 21st century.
He himself is a role model for innovation, and an inspiration to others in innovative education where his life exemplifies the characteristics of an innovator – one who never rests, always challenging the norm, pushes past boundaries and never takes the easy way out. Tan Sri Lim is a fine example for what he preaches and for his accomplishments I would like to use this occasion to again acknowledge Tan Sri Lim as an Innovator in Creative Education. I would also like to recognise Limkokwing University as Malaysia's most creative university for its trailblazing efforts for the past 20 years.
Tan Sri Lim's book, Innovation Enabling Transformation comes at a timely period for us in Malaysia, where he has finely sliced innovation into pieces that are palatable to us. I hope the book will help to build momentum to engage people to create and innovate."
