Synopsis

The focus of this course is to explore theories, concepts and analytical skills and techniques as well as decision-making skills and techniques in finance, financial management including financial analysis techniques using MICROSOFT EXCEL worksheet.

Outcome

• Be able to understand the role of finance in the economy.
• Be able to understand the role of financial markets in the economy.
• Be able to appraise and interpret projects and capital financing and investment criteria.
• Be able to demonstrate the basic analytical skills and techniques on capital and projects financing and investment using the computer software, i.e. MICROSOFT EXCEL worksheet.
• Be able to understand how they relate to business and the economy.
