Synopsis

Professional Drawing plays a very important role in conveying message from consultant to client and constructor. It is also very important to the local authorities in keeping track of construction progress and a mean to understand the overall tasks involved in construction.

The problem exists in today’s industry is the substandard of the professional drawings produced, causing a misinterpretation of information, which led to unnecessary wastages, particularly in time and funding. The case is even more annoying when submission drawings are rejected owing to the sub standard used that do not meet the receiving party requirement.

Therefore, if professional drawings can be made standardize by following the exact ruling and requirements of the receiving parties, it would ease users to understand the drawings better and thus reducing misunderstanding of information, while reducing the amount of time used to redo a particular drawing owing to using a wrong drawing format.

Outcome

• Participants will acquire the basic skills needed in drafting / producing professional drawings manually, which will greatly assist them in understanding professional drawings, making minor amendments on drawings manually, producing views from understanding of drawings.
