On Thursday, 14 October, Mr. Park Ji Ho, the International Affairs Coordinator for Chosun University, South Korea, arrived at Limkokwing University for a tour of the campus and facilities.

Chosun University is currently looking for a partner university in Malaysia as they’re planning to send over their students for intensive language courses over the coming winter and summer months.

Mr. Park was a given a tour of the facilities available to students at Limkokwing University.  He was particularly interested with the Plaza, which is located in the central hub of the campus. The Plaza is also the place where all students gather and hang out as it is home to many of the University’s more popular facilities such as the Wellness Centre, Makanlah, Ten Ten Convenient Store, Limkokwing Fashion Club store, among others.

“I have visited like a three other universities before coming here. This university is very unique. It’s different from the others and it’s very tidy. It is also free, it’s very free, free minded”, observed Mr Park.

Mr. Park went to say that Limkokwing’s multicultural environment with its student community from 160 nations could be very beneficial to Chosun students. He feels the international student population of the campus will broaden the Chosun students’ outlook and make them aware of other nations’ culture. This would enable Chosun students to make friends, thus, “In the future, in terms of business or life like it’s gonna be big benefits to my students”, he added.

The visit ended with a close-door meeting between Mr. Park and Limkokwing management. If Chosun University decides to choose Limkokwing as its partner, the first batch of Chosun students to arrive for the language courses will be in early January 2015.
