In addition to the recent announcement of Limkokwing University's ISO 9001:2008 certification, the University is proud to announce that its Limkokwing Executive Leadership College has also been certified as ISO 9001:2008 compliant.
Limkokwing University is home to 30,000 students from over 150 countries. Programmes are offered through seven faculties – Design Innovation; Multimedia Creativity; Communication, Media & Broadcasting; Architecture & Built Environment; Fashion & Lifestyle Creativiy; Business Management & Globalisation; and Information & Communication Technology. In addition to the faculties, programmes are also offered through Limkokwing English Centre (LEC), Limkokwing Postgraduate Centre (PGC), Limkokwing Sound and Music Design Academy (SMDA), and Limkokwing Executive Leadership College (LELC).
LELC offers specially tailored courses in leadership, entrepreneurship, finance and information technology. Through LELC, student are engaged in the creation of new businesses through industry-relevant collaboration with some of the world’s most successful brands, such as Nestle, L’Oreal, Shu Uemura, Lancome, Sony Ericsson, to name a few. These are businesses that provide avenues for students to practise their skills and perhaps venture into franchise agreements to open these outlets elsewhere in the country or overseas.
The ISO 9001:2008 standard sets out the criteria for a quality management system and it is the most widely used and internationally-recognised framework for good quality management in an organisation.
To become certified as ISO 9001:2008 compliant, LELC underwent an evaluation process that included quality management system development, a management system documentation review, pre-audit, initial assessment, and clearance of non-conformances, all of which work to identify corrective actions that eliminate non-conformances in the quality management system.
After a successful comprehensive audit by Guardian Independent Certification Limited, LELC received its ISO 9001:2008 certificate of registration on 20 July 2015.
Achieving ISO 9001:2008 certification clearly demonstrates LELC’s commitment in supporting Limkokwing University with quality products. With this certification, Limkokwing’s students can be confident that the University is dedicated to maintain the highest efficiency and responsiveness possible in achieving its ultimate goal – guaranteed student satisfaction.
