They were able to mingle with and spend the day with these students, learning firsthand what is required when studying at a British university.
Students had the chance to learn more on the importance of group work, independent learning, and interdisciplinary projects.

The visit of the university finished with an exclusive tour of the university, where they were shown the filming locations of popular movies such as Thor and Sherlock Holmes.
After few weeks at Limkokwing University’s London campus, students awoke today excited to finally see what student life is like for British and foreign students in the United Kingdom.
When students arrived at University of Greenwich, the first thing that struck them was its beautiful decorative building. They were also impressed with its status as a world ranking university, not to mention the highest rated university in London in terms of student satisfaction. They were able to mingle with and spend the day with these students, learning firsthand what is required when studying at a British university.
First, students were welcomed by Manisha Dhaliwal Education Liaison Co-ordinator to the University of Greenwich and then International Student Officer Helen MacCormack joined students, who described the steps needed in gaining entrance to a UK university; it wasn’t as easy as they thought! Not only do they have to worry about being accepted by the university on their academic merits, but they must also go through the visa application process, which can be a lengthy and stressful procedure. After Helen’s explanation, a group of student representatives told them why London is an important place to be, and what their professors expect of them. Paavigness Rao a/l Chandarh Roo studying Diploma in Software Engineering, said; after knowing the difficult and lengthy procedure of getting into UK universities, I am feeling privileged to be here at Limkokwing University London and study with the same value and experience as other students having in other British universities.
During a friendly chat with them, their first taste of how British culture differentiates with Malaysian culture occurred when students at University of Greenwich encouraged them to participate in charity work and fundraising, as it provides useful experience and looks good on a CV and in a portfolio. Compared with Malaysia, British education focuses on group work, independent learning, and interdisciplinary projects. Students also realised the importance of not only lecture time, but tutorial time, as they must be eager to learn and ask questions to be successful.
Students were able to understand how important it is to interact with people who live and study here. By engaging with them they were able to obtain useful advice which can be applied in their academic and professional lives in future. They also benefited from being able to compare the system and concepts of Malaysian universities with British universities on this trip.

Ms. Noramira Narisa Binti Roslan, Diploma in Creative Multimedia, said that after this trip, not only did she appreciate her time in London more, but she also appreciates the advantages of her home campus in Malaysia.
