The field of entertainment and performing arts is an exciting venue to explore one’s creativity and this program is designed with such individual in mind. However, the skills of a Set & Theater Designer are not only limited in the arts but it also extends to the media and commercial sectors. Essentially, the designer plays an important role to create the appropriate space to serve a specific function – ranging from theater to media event.



In the program, the design process takes into consideration both the technical and artistic needs. These skills are further expanded through an acquirement of the ability to connect variables in the environment with the kind of use of the spectator.



Within the course of their studies, students will be given the opportunity to progressively learn and harness their individual skills. The process involves training in the crucial aspect of design fundamentals that is further expanded into a series of increasingly complex projects for various scenarios. To sustain the design process, the curriculum also covers the studies of technical and material studies, acoustic and lighting. Interior Design is a professional discipline that exists within the overall framework of the building industry with its own area of specialty and considerations primarily for the interior environment.

Interior Design takes into consideration basic human needs and aspirations for living through its expressions of style, structure, function and form. It is a highly respected profession that responds to the needs of the building industry and contributes to the social development, economic growth and prosperity of a country.

While responding to changes in the design environment, Interior Design also plays a vital role in ensuring the continual preservation of a country’s identity and heritage.

Student will begin with a thorough training in the basic principles of building and design, and then move on to explore various areas of specialization. Modules of study are centered on creating interior spaces and environments utilizing knowledge of human behavior, psychology, environmental science and technology. Color, texture, rendering skills, computer-aided design, pattern, fabric and design trends are also studied within this field along with technology, Computer-Aided Design, contextual studies from historical precedents as well as current issues.



The learning and research articulated in theory is supported with practical lessons. A significant component of the program is the entrepreneurship studies and industry training that serves to create opportunities and prepare students to work in the field.
