Limkokwing Swaziland elected a new Student Representative Council on 4 May 2017.
The new Student Representative Council (SRC) took an oath on their responsibilities as student representatives and were also introduced to the University’s stakeholders.
Present at the ceremony were the Ministry of Labour and Social Security representatives Siboniso Tsabedze and Hlengiwe Manzini, Regional Corporate Secretary and Head of Human Resource Tefo Macheli, Limkokwing Botswana SRC President Kgosietsile Timothy, and Limkokwing staff.
Mfundo Ndlela is the newly elected SRC President. Other new members are Vice President Nsindiso Kunene, Vice General Secretary Nchazelo Dlamini, Treasure Nelile Dube, Director of Academia Thulani Vilakati, Director of Social Welfare Sincumo Dlamini, Director of Sport Gift Dlamini and Director of Entertainment Winile Mavuso.
The inauguration ceremony was led by Nompumelelo Dlamini who is a lecturer and Commissioner of Oath.
Regional Corporate Secretary Tefo Macheli’s addressed the newly elected SRC members reminding them that they were key stakeholders in the University and should keep it at heart.
Limkokwing Botswana’s SRC President Kgosietsile Timothy concurred and mentioned that the local student government must regard its first and foremost duty to revive the spirit of unity and cooperation in the University. “Most significantly, preserve and defend those principles in which the institution is built,” he said.
