Creativeness through art can be expressed through passion and talent according to David. He fulfills his passion by performing at various events while studying at the University for the last three years and will continue to do so until he graduates.

For him, being at Limkokwing University offers him a unique perspective on how other people think. The university is also a place for him nurture his creativity while teaching him to appreciate cultural diversity.

Choosing Limkokwing University

“I have always been interested in Asian Culture and the university made it easier for me to meet people from that country, “he said. “Here, I do not need to travel far to learn more about the culture from Asian countries.”

He said the network opportunities at Limkokwing University would enable him to establish connections with peers from different parts of the world.

“This would give me a better chance to compete in a globalised environment and travel to other countries,” he said.

Love for Music

With a passion for music, he has performed for the Latin community in Asia and also the Cultural Festival at Limkokwing University.

“For me, my home country is very blessed with great musical culture and was known as one of the happiest countries,” he said.

For him, music is related to happiness. This is why Venezuelans are always friendly to visitors.

He explains that Venezuela includes several styles of music such as Salsa and Merengue. The most typical music is ‘Joropo’ (pronounced ‘horopo’) that has African, Native South American and European influences.

According to him, his home country also produces great musicians including Simon Diaz and Antonio Lauro who have influenced his style of music.

“Musically speaking, Venezuela music combines nature and romance,” he said.

He explains that Venezuela is a melting pot of cultures which can be seen in its musical styles and dances. Venezuelans have a love for large carnivals.
