The Indian Cultural Society (YUVA Club) and Indian Student Club of Limkokwing University of Creative Technology jointly organised Diwali Bazaar at the Limkokwing Cyberjaya campus recently.

The Diwali Bazaar, held to celebrate the Indian Festival of Light, or more commonly known as Diwali/Deepavali, was an overwhelming success and an eye-opener for many, especially for the international community at Limkokwing which consist of students from 165 countries.

The two-day bazaar was a showcase of Indian culture and tradition and it also offered a taste of traditional Indian cuisine such asladdu and kesarias well as the art of applying henna or mehendi.  The colourful kolam display particularly attracted attention of all the guests and students present.

A traditional Indian cultural show was staged, which include a fashion show, dance performance and singing.  Students attired in Indian traditional costumes were also seen spontaneously dancing to festive music.

Paavigness Rao s/o Chandarh Roo, the president of YUVA Club said, “We are delighted that the bazaar received an overwhelming and positive response and we will look into organising more cultural events at Limkokwing University”.
