Limkokwing University highlighted the impact of PBANK and its efforts by featuring a video compilation of the involvement of the organisation at the Shangri-La Hotel, Kuala Lumpur on 7 Aug 2017.

The Persatuan Bencana Alam Negeri Kedah (PBANK) is an organisation led by His Royal Highness Sultan Abdul Halim Mu’adzam Shah Al-Haj ibni Almarhum Sultan Badlishah, Sultan of Kedah Darul Aman, to provide assistance to victims of natural disasters such as floods, freak storms, fires, landslides as well as the elderly and the sick.

As an organisation focusing on natural disaster relief, PBANK renders assistance to residents within the Malaysian State of Kedah Darul Aman.

The video compiled by the University showcases PBANK’s contribution to the community within Malaysia’s Northern state of Kedah since the organisation’s establishment 15 years ago.

PBANK’s direct approach in delivering assistance has enabled the organisation to develop a close relationship with the community members. This close relationship has enabled PBANK to respond swiftly during emergencies and coordinate effective recovery initiatives.

Furthermore, PBANK’s community-focused programmes have enabled the organisation to develop plans for appropriate resource distribution and suitable financial aid to the most adversely affected victims of natural disasters.

Limkokwing University is an educational institution that emphasises the importance of community and social development. The University maintains close relationships with various non-government organisations, humanitarian agencies and charitable programmes to support the public.
