About 700 Swazi youth started their higher education journey with Limkokwing Swaziland on the 19th Sept 2014. The students were introduced to the University’s unique approach to education during the energy filled orientation day themed 'The Take Off: Yonder into Creativity and Innovation'.

The orientation was held at the university campus and it was attended by the Undersecretary in the Ministry of Labour Mr. Norman Gamedze, who is also Manager of the Limkokwing Entrepreneurship Acceleration Programme (LEAP).

Head of Academic, Mr. Motlhalefi Modigane welcomed the students to the University, citing that university life is different from their previous schools, as the students will need to put more effort without expecting to be pushed. He told them that creativity and innovation were the core fundamentals of the University, hence the students should be eager to explore and expand their capabilities.

Other speakers also encouraged the students to put effort in their studies and not be distracted by being away from their parents. University alumni shared their experience throughout their study at Limkokwing Swaziland.

Faculties gave briefs on what they have to offer, and students were introduced to the academic staff and the Student Representative Council (SRC).

Students were also kept entertained with many interactive icebreakers, which included music, dance, and games. The Limkokwing Choir performed a few songs before the day was concluded with a campus tour.
