Limkokwing University welcomed top-scoring students from major senior secondary schools around Botswana for a campus tour on July 14th.
Students were accompanied by Limkokwing alumnus, Kabo Thakadu from the BA (Hons) in Digital Film and Television programme, who is also the Executive Director of Peculiar Productions.
Peculiar Productions is a multimedia company well-known for its educational TV show titled “Who’s Yo Genius”, a quiz show featuring students from two senior secondary schools across Botswana.
The campus tour served as an insight to the holistic learning environment of the University that advocates a practical approach to education to ensure its students’ smooth and successful transition from classrooms to their careers. During the tour, the group was eager in enquiring about the University’s technology-driven facilities and resources.
In an in-depth presentation, the Faculty heads briefed the students about programmes offered by the University to allow them to make informed career choices for their future.
The Regional Director Corporate and Media Relations of Limkokwing University, Ms. Mercy Thebe said, “Here, we strive to produce a graduate who can contribute meaningfully to society and the industry hence the university has built its ecosystem to provide the experiences that sharpen skills and shape characters.”
The University strongly believes in transforming the education system into a platform to mould youths as the creative drive force of the fast-evolving world. As future leaders of the world, they must be able to use their knowledge and skills to become successful and shape the world into a better place.
