Limkokwing University welcomed students from the Uka Tarsadia University for the Summer Camp 2017 programme on 5 July 2017.

Uka Tarsadia University was established in 1960 by Bardoli Pradesh Kelavani Mandal, a group of education veterans, with the objective of imparting higher education to the tribal and rural areas. The university has a long history in nurturing pioneers in social, agricultural, educational, and industrial fields.

Fourteen students participated in the Limkokwing University Summer Camp that enables them to experience multiculturalism through Malaysia’s unique history and diversity. Students will participate in campus activities, field trips, and cultural exchange with students from over 150 different countries during their one-month stay in Malaysia.

Uka Tarsadia University Assistant Professor and Mentor Hiren Shah explained that the purpose of the visit was to understand different cultures and different administration methods such as product management, designing as well as innovation.

“We want to focus on these type of courses and how we can implement them in our university,” he said.

Students will be given the opportunity to immerse themselves in industry exposure and multiculturalism through Limkokwing University’s creative and innovative learning approach, and the guidance of the University’s professional educators.

“I was really impressed by the main campus,” said Bhakta Hemaliben Manishbhai who is pursuing a career in nursing. “I am interested in how they manage classes and how they share their cultures.”

For Patel Sweety Jitendra who is studying Master in Computer Application, the University’s learning atmosphere has made her more interested in learning other cultures at the University.

“Students here have a pleasant learning environment,” she said while adding that she hopes to be able to learn more about the University and Malaysia during the month-long programme.

The Limkokwing University Summer Camp programme enables students to develop networking skills, language proficiency and industry exposure. For more information, contact Limkokwing English Centre at +603-8317 8855 or via e-mail at pb.antarabangsa@limkokwing.edu.my.
