Overview
The Limkokwing University Microsoft Student Partners proposes to organize an event named “Windows 7 Campus launch” with an aim of introducing and familiarizing the LUCT’s students with the latest Microsoft Operating System.
Windows 7 Campus launch consists of seminars that will cover 3 areas. The first talk will be about the Features to show how to make your life easy using windows 7 at home or at your workplace, then a talk on to security to ensure safe working environment and last but not least a talk on the maintenance of your operating system.
At the end of the seminar there will be as well a talk on MSDN Academic Alliance, a Microsoft program that available to Academic Institutions which allows acquiring of licensed copies of Microsoft’s software for free.
Beside the seminar that will be held at the Hall of Fame, we will also have a number of creative games and activities during the lunch time at the LUCT plaza, as well as a showcase to enable the students and staff to experience the new Microsoft Windows 7.

| 10:30 am | Windows 7 home user features Presentation how Windows 7 helps users with their tasks whether at home or their workplace. Some of the new features such as Power Management, Windows Search, Windows XP Mode, Virtual Hard Disks (VHD) and also desktop enhancements like the new taskbar and Aero features beside any other appealing functionalities will be presented in the session. | 11.15 am | Windows 7 Security Overview on all the security features Windows 7 has brought about. Features like Windows Firewall, Bitlocker, Applocker, Windows Defender, and any other functionality helping to keep Windows 7 and its users’ data safe and secure, will be presented to the audience. | 11:45 am | Taking care of Windows 7 Talk on maintenance of Windows 7 and how it could be taken care of using its really useful monitoring tools. This presentation will help users to learn how to get out of trouble once facing one. Presenter: ELITE member |
