Limkokwing University of Creative Technology held its second ‘Heal the World’ concert at its Cyberjaya campus yesterday, aimed at helping the survivors of the recent Haiti earthquake that caused unprecedented devastation on the small island nation.
Limkokwing University of Creative Technology donated RM30,000 to the survivors of the recent devastating earthquake in Haiti which killed 100,000 and made three million homeless. The University also organised a charitable concert with UNICEF named ‘Heal the World’ which raised additional funds for the victims.
Education is now advancing at a fast pace, with the option of using the latest hi-tech gadgets in teaching. Limkokwing University of Creative Technology recently went into a partnership with Maxis Bhd which allows its students to use the iPhone 3GS as one of the communication and education tools in their studies.
As news of the hardship faced by survivors of the Haiti earthquake circulated around the world, plenty of governments, organizations and individuals have stepped forward and shown that every little bit can make a difference to the lives of the estimated three million people affected by the earthquake.
Yang Berhormat Larry Sng, Minister in the Sarawak Chief Minister's Office for Economic Planning and Industrial Development paid a visit to Limkokwing's Borneo campus recently.
