KUCHING: While our nation prepares to celebrate its 53rd independence day, the 1Malaysia Merdeka spirit is already in the air at Limkokwing University of Creative Technology as the largest indoor effigy of the 1Malaysia logo stands proudly on its campus.
Khairuddin, who is the Vice-Chancellor of Unimas, was honoured with the award in recognition of his vast contribution as a pioneer in the field of Information Communication Technology (ICT) and for his distinctive work in building Malaysia's strength in skilled human capital.
Independence Day is a time for all to celebrate the years of solidarity and togetherness. A time for all to salute the heroes who made sacrifices for future generations. And in the case of the Merah Putih Club at Limkokwing University, the day was just that.
The President of the World Assembly of Youth (WAY), Datuk Seri Mohd Ali Mohd Rustam, on a recent visit - invited the University to collaborate to develop the World Youth Institute (WYI) into a world-class training centre for youths from all over the globe, including Malaysia.
The Fashion and Hair Design Academy students showcased their garments and hairstyles in a lively display of ingenious designs accompanied with lively performances by our very own talented singers which kept the audience engaged throughout the event.
