We can no more escape the importance of technology in pushing forth the notion of creativity in our everyday life. And once again, Limkokwing University’s Multimedia student, Jennifer Lim proved this point by bagging first prize for the Best of Tertiary Student Project in Creative Multimedia category at the recent MSC- APICTA award ceremony.
Continuing Limkokwing’s success in such big scale competitions, Jennifer’s winning entry titled ‘The Witch’ is a 2d animation piece, was inspired by her fascination of children cultural folk tales. She explored the widely used character in many tales - the witch.
“I am heavily influenced by my interest and research on different cultures in the world. This has definitely led me to my unique illustration styles in my animation.”
With the win feeling surreal to Jennifer, she added that the university served as a platform enabling her to be endlessly creative. “Self-expression is so encouraged that I feel that “the Witch”, to a certain extend, is an extension of myself.”
The MSC- APICTA provides a platform to stimulate creativity, innovation and excellence in ICT in Malaysia, benchmark Malaysian ICT products and solutions, and to recognise outstanding achievements in ICT, of students, technopreneurs, SMEs and organisations with operations in Malaysia.
