Asia’s Most Creative Thinker & Personality Award

The London Graduate School of Management bestowed Tan Sri Lim with the title of Asia’s Most Creative Thinker & Personality for having, single-handedly, created an outstanding innovative university and thereby gaining a prominent place for Malaysia. The award was made in a special ceremony officiated by the Deputy Mayor of the city of Westminster, London. In particular the award recognises his unique ability in bringing creativity into tertiary education which has changed the way the world looks at education in Asia.

The board of trustees of European University Barcelona, Spain conferred the award of Professor Emeritus for the Chair of Innovation Management for promoting innovative education at Limkokwing University in a way not seen anywhere else. At the same ceremony he was also presented with the Degree of Doctor of Civil Laws, honoris causa for his extraordinary success as President of Limkokwing University. The award recognised his vision and tireless efforts in education, his global initiatives and committed leadership as well as his generous spirit and unequalled positive attitude.

The Ernst & Young World Entrepreneur of the Year Academy is an exclusive organisation. Every year country winners are inducted as members. These are entrepreneurs who are admired leaders within their industries and important role models. Tan Sri Lim as Malaysia’s Entrepreneur of the Year 2006 was inducted into this Academy at the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year World Summit held in Monte Carlo recently. He was honoured at the Summit for his work in improving international humanitarian relations, building human capability and enhancing cross-cultural understanding for the world.
