As news of the hardship faced by survivors of the Haiti earthquake circulated around the world, plenty of governments, organizations and individuals have stepped forward and shown that every little bit can make a difference to the lives of the estimated three million people affected by the earthquake. Limkokwing University isn’t far behind with a charity concert slated for the 10th February that aims to raise funds for the victims of the Haiti earthquake.
The concert will be held at the Hall of Fame at Limkokwing University’s Cyberjaya campus and will start from 6.30pm onwards with performances by students and specially invited guests. All proceeds from the concert will go towards the UNICEF 2010 Haiti Earthquake Children Appeal—a fund that will provide children in Haiti with access to clean water, food, healthcare and protection. Tickets cost RM10 for students and RM20 for working professionals.
Limkokwing University is no stranger to humanitarian efforts, having organized several charity campaigns in the past, most notably the Heal the World charity concert last year in support of the plight of Palestinians affected by the war in Gaza.
