In February 2009, the Limkokwing London campus welcomed a visit from Kolej Yayasan Sabah.

The delegation was led by the Chairman of Kolej Yayasan Sabah, Y.A.B Datuk Kamal D.E Quadra. He was accompanied by 10 other guests who were also members of the college in Sabah.

The guests commenced their inaugural visit by putting down their signatures on the welcome board, and proceeded for a tour around the campus.

The tour gave them an opportunity to learn more about the Limkokwing philosophy, as they were briefed on the concept fused within the campus - the global classroom. They were also enlightened about opportunities to obtain double degrees while learning. The showcase of the tour was the portfolio of Corporate Training programmes.

The trip to the fashion design workshop proved to be a delighting highlight of the visit. The delegation listened to an explanation of the concept of learning embedded in the workshop – in this environment, students will learn the entire aspects of the fashion industry, from designing, manufacturing, branding, retailing and running professional fashion shows.

From the feedback, it was obvious that the delegates were inspired by the holistic concept and the students’ work.

A coffee break served to loosen the atmosphere, and to allow the delegation a break as they were treated to the London Opening and MOHA video in the holding room.

The session was followed by a speech by Datuk Kamal, thanking the University for the warm welcome and hospitality. He mentioned that the visit was such an eye opener and he envisioned collaboration in the future.

Before the visit ended, a representative from Limkokwing London presented Datuk Kamal with the Innovation Book and a Limkokwing souvenir. This was followed by a presentation of Limkokwing University info packs to Hjh. Rosmawati Hj. Lasuki.

Hjh. Rosmawati, who is also the Group Manager of Sabah Group, expressed her strong interest to send a group of ten to fifteen representatives from the Yayasan Sabah group for corporate training this coming August.
