1st Botswana Tertiary Education Fair - Limkokwing strikes two golds with booth design

With its striking message, arresting images and hi-tech presentation the Limkokwing University booth at the 1st Botswana Tertiary Education Fair, not only attracted the attention of parents and students, but it bagged two first prizes for its booth design.

It won the overall award for Best Designed Booth and in the Best Private Institution category from among 41 others who participated in the fair held at Boiputso Hall, Botswana over 3 days from March 3rd till the 6th. The design of the Limkokwing booth was described as inspiring and beyond the future. By having the best design and approach at the booth, visitors stopped by not only to enquire but to watch the amazing multimedia artworks display on the computers and the award-winning fashion pieces on mannequins.

“The Fair provides very good evidence of how the tertiary education sector can work together for the benefit of our primary stakeholders, namely our students. I am proud of this initiative. This is exactly what my Ministry wants to see as we continue to drive our tertiary education sector to greater heights,” said Hon.Pelonomi Venson-Moitoi, Minister of Education and Skills Development who officiated the launch of the fair on 4th March.

She welcomed more foreign investors to join the education development in Botswana. “I would like to see the tertiary education sector building on thinking differently and by tirelessly working together to develop the high quality Education Hub we intend to become.”

She added that the Fair was a perfect example of how they need not only think outside the box but even to “throw the box away”.

Students were attracted by the wide range of interesting courses offered by Limkokwing University. Mr. Jacob Swartland, Chairman of the Tertiary Education Council said he was impressed by the Limkokwing University booth when he paid a visit with the delegates after the official launch.

The booth was also a clear favourite with the media. The dailies, magazines, radio stations and TV station were keen to get a clearer picture of Limkokwing University using it as a backdrop for their interviews.
