Limkokwing University of Creative Technology today became the first Malaysian
university to be introduced in a special column of the EconoLiving, a Korean
newspaper operating in the country since the beginning of this year.

Director of the Korean daily, Mr. Lee Jeong Rim said the EconoLiving is
distributed solely to the Korean embassy, companies, expatriates, residents and
trade organizations based here and is indeed “honoured” to feature articles on
Limkokwing University so that Koreans living in Malaysia may discover the role it
is playing in the mainstream of Malaysian education.

“I have been living in this beautiful country for 12 years now and
am keen to highlight some aspects of Malaysia in the EconoLiving,
including education. I am therefore happy to feature Limkokwing as
the first local university in our “introducing universities in Malaysia
for Korean students” column. We want Korean students to enroll at
Malaysian universities to pick up the unique culture, especially in
Limkokwing University.”

Visiting the Cyberjaya campus of Limkokwing University together with the
newspaper’s resident reporter, Ms. Seo Ji Won, Lee expressed his admiration at
the unique university environment which he felt was totally different from other
institutions.

University trailblazer

Limkokwing is the only private university to fly Malaysia’s flag universally in
its quest to create a new generation of global graduates embedded with 21st
century creative education, industry knowledge and out-of-the-box thinking
skills.

To benefit its students, Limkokwing maintains a global network with 282
university partners from 77 countries and in addition its degrees and diplomas
are delivered in more than 20 countries.

Even its official website is a trailblazer registering 108 million hits from 190
countries every year and counting, a feat unmatched by others in the world.

Building collaboration

The university continues to seek and establish meaningful collaboration with
universities, industry partners, academics and professionals in the field of
innovative education.

One of Korea’s leading universities, Youngsan University is working to establish
links with Limkokwing, and annually many young Korean students come to study
English at the university’s International House under the ‘Korean Summer Camp’
porgramme.

Global learning experience

Since its establishment in 1991, Limkokwing University has grown rapidly
spreading its wings far and wide across three continents in Asia, Africa and
Europe.

Truly a global university, Limkokwing administers twelve high profile campuses
worldwide, home to more than 30,000 students coming from 150 countries.

Its Cyberjaya campus alone caters to about 9,000 students from 145 countries
and the university has plans to expand to Mauritius, Maldives and New York.

Newsworthy and informative

By focusing on Limkokwing in its inaugural column, EconoLiving is endorsing the
university’s role as the prime advocate of creative and innovative education and
the impact it has already created all over the world.

This is good news to Koreans considering acquiring world-class education at one
the world’s leading creativity universities right here in Malaysia.

condominiums, hotels and the Korean Tourism Organization office in Kuala
Lumpur, EconoLiving covers varied subjects such as Malaysian culture, lifestyles,
