After one year of running in Lesotho, Limkokwing Lesotho has already made a mark in the industry. As actions speak louder than words, and seeing is believing, we showcased our design (graphic, professional, fashion & apparel, architecture) students works. The designs exhibited were of industry standards, though produced by first year students.

One of our design student Design, Mr. Moloko Motsamai has not only proved that he is a good designer, also that he has certainly learned the best design techniques in the past year at the university.  This year, Mr. Motsamai had an opportunity to design a blanket for His Majesty King Letsie III’s birthday. The design of the blanket captured many hearts and has won Mr.Moloko well deserved recognition as well as unique design collaboration possibilities.

He said, “This university has taught me to unleash my potential. It has taught me to act in a professional manner. Above all, it has shown me how creative I can be. My creativity has changed my life. Never did I dream of designing something for the King of Lesotho. By the skills and technology of Limkokwing University, I am proud to say, I have achieved something great in my life. For the first time in Lesotho’s history I am the first Mosotho to have designed a truly wonderful design blanket for the King’s birthday.”

Our students’ designs have attracted many people from the industry who are ready to collaborate with the university and engage some of our students in projects that will add value to their design portfolios. An opportunity to collaborate with the industry is always welcome because it exposes our students to the real industry work and expectations. With students engaging in industry participation, they will always be a step ahead in planning and execution. Students are some of our main economic manpower resources.
