Gabrielle Ashley Boudville and Doly Ho, fashion students at Limkokwing University are among 19 finalists in the Miss World Malaysia 2009 Pageant.

Doly and Gabrielle are competing against 17 others.

“It’s now or never. I will try to be the best,” said Boudville who comes from Kuala Lumpur Doly Ho entered the competition to build her self confidence. She believes inner beauty is more important than good looks and is out to prove that good looks and talent can go hand in hand.

Ho comes from Ipoh.

Contest spokesperson Chong Wei-Hsiang said this year’s theme, Beauty is Power, will demonstrate that a beautiful woman is indeed a powerful woman.

“With such power comes responsibility,” she added.

Miss World Malaysia will be crowned this Friday 2nd October and the winner will represent Malaysia in the Miss World finals in Johannesburg, South Africa in November 2009.
