
Limkokwing was selected as one of the universities to join the 3rd Education Fair of Malaysian and Singaporean Private Universities and Colleges 2009 which was held at Ulaanbataar, Mongolia. The trip started on 27 April and ended on 4 May 2009. The trip was organised by Master Travel Co. Ltd, the first representative agency in Mongolia working on behalf of top universities and institutes of Malaysia and Singapore. Two representatives from Limkokwing University were present during the trip.
The Education Fair, which was held from 2 to 3 May 2009, managed to attract a huge number of students and visitors who were interested to know more about Limkokwing University, with many asking about scholarships offered by the University.
Apart from the Education Fair, the congregation had the chance to visit several universities and high schools around Ulaanbataar.
One of the Universities is Mongolian University of Science and Technology, a university owned by the Government of Mongolia. After a visit and tour around the campus, Limkokwing representatives managed to sit down and discuss future collaboration with the University.
Another University that managed to be in the list during the visit was Ikh Zasag University. Named after Changgis Khaan, this university offers the same environment with Limkokwing, in terms of its conducive surrounding and vibrant vibes. The representatives from Limkokwing University received a warm welcome from the President, Mr. Nyam-Osor and the Vice President, Mrs. Tsetsegmaa. They were then brought around for a tour of the campus and briefed about the campus history and latest events. A discussion regarding future collaboration followed; an English centre is foreseen to be franchised in the campus in the near future.
Limkowing also had a glimpse of opportunities to get young people to enroll for courses offered by the University. During the visit, representatives from Limkokwing University had the opportunity to give talks about Limkokwing University of Creative Technology to the students of 77th High School in Ulaanbataar. Most of the students were very keen to know more about English and Business courses offered by the University.
The University representatives also managed to pay a visit to Edu-Line Agency, an education agency which is run by Koreans. Limkokwing University will be one of the first Asian Universities to have collaboration with the agency in the near future.
