Limkokwing’s Fashion Creativity in Motion bursts alive @ Jaya One, PJ

It was a blend of culture, creativity and glamour as Limkokwing University’s Fashion and Hair Design Academy graduates of 2010 brought imagination and energy to Jaya One’s premise as their garments and hairstyles sashayed down the runway with models donning their amazing and outrageous creations.

The glitzy fashion show held on Wednesday 4th August 2010 at the open space between Starbucks Coffee and Brussels Beer Café highlighted the creativity, ingenuity and flair of the fashion graduates.

The show themed Fashion Creativity in Motion paraded the works of 26 designers who had put a lot of work into their creations and were truly excited as they watched the models walking the runway in eye-catching dresses that garnered enthusiastic approval from the audience.

At the end of the show the designers were all smiles with a profound sense of accomplishment and satisfaction written on their faces.

Mai Tomyam hope they will grow their talents to the highest of their abilities to become fashion design professionals.

The event was a global showcase of talent, ranging from arts and design to song and dance, as guests, students, admin staff and media personnel revelled in the night’s pulsating atmosphere.

On the runway were the collections of 26 designers who were chosen for their best works which included varied inspirations from the Ming Dynasty in China, hill-dwelling ethnic Dayaks in Borneo, Qashghai people of Iran to ancient Egyptians. Also featured along was the Limkokwing Black collection of ethnic designs by talented Limkokwing alumni.

Models strutted on the runway dressed up in scintillating hairdos and styles that made heads turn.

There were performances by the University’s students who provided the entertainment in-between the fashion show of which they sang various songs such as Simply the Best, Nothing Gonna Stop Us Now and Wings To Fly.

Guests including Limkokwing University of Creative Technology’s Founder and President, Professor Emeritus Tan Sri Dato’ Dr Lim Kok Wing, enjoyed the wonderful music and songs.
