The reigning Miss Botswana, Sumaiyah Marope this week jetted out of the country on an official trip to Malaysia.

According to Limkokwing University-Botswana’s Corporate Affairs Senior Manager, Barbara Tshipana, Marope’s trip to Malaysia has been made possible by the local campus.

She noted that Marope being a registered student at Limkokwing University-Botswana, they saw it fit to award her with the opportunity to travel to the school’s Malaysian campus where among other activities she will be provided with professional photographers and graphic designers who will help with building her portfolio.

“Here at Limkokwing University, we embrace creativity and talent and whenever we see a gap or rather an opportunity to nurture and developer such talents we do so with great excitement and enthusiasm,” read a statement from the school.

Chance

Furthermore, while in Malaysia Marope is expected to attend modeling training workshops in Kuala Lumpur courtesy of renowned international model, Amber Chia as well as share a chance to be interviewed by internationally franchised magazines such as Marie Claire and Seventeen.

“Marope will also have radio interviews and tour Malaysia. Among other things she is expected to present a motivational speech to her Batswana peers at the Malaysian campus.”

Limkokwing firmly believes that Marope’s trip will open many doors and expose her.

“She will get a chance to network with renowned personalities in her industry as well as build her portfolio in Malaysia.”
