Education is now advancing at a fast pace, with the option of using the latest hi-tech gadgets in teaching. Limkokwing University of Creative Teleology recently went into a partnership with Maxis Bhd which allows its students to use the iPhone 3GS as one of the communication and education tools in their studies.
As news of the hardship faced by survivors of the Haiti earthquake circulated around the world, plenty of governments, organizations and individuals have stepped forward and shown that every little bit can make a difference to the lives of the estimated three million people affected by the earthquake.
Yang Berhormat Larry Sng, Minister in the Sarawak Chief Minister's Office for Economic Planning and Industrial Development paid a visit to Limkokwing's Borneo campus recently.
Limkokwing University’s London campus received a visit from Professor Dr. Raduan Che Rose, Special Advisor to the Minister of Higher Education, Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin. He was accompanied by Assoc. Professor Dr. Rosman Abdullah, the newly-appointed Director of the Malaysian Students Department for the United Kingdom & EIRE (MASDUKE), which serves Malaysian students in the UK and EIRE in matters related to welfare and academic performance. Together, they were led on a tour of the campus’s facilities and briefed on Limkokwing’s Global Classroom and Universal Project.
Innovation gives an edge in business, and Malaysia should take a cue from countries such as Japan, Switzerland and Sweden to keep up with and effectively use ingenuity to drive the economy or it will fail to compete.
