
Apple Inc, known as the number one trendsetter in computer technologies and mobile devices recently opened a store on the Limkokwing University Campus.
Nestled between the seminar hall and the print shop in the University’s plaza, the Epicentre is the very first apple store to open in a Malaysian educational institution.
Limkokwing University is the leading Institution for creative and innovative education and the move to bring the best in innovative technologies will integrate the latest in Apple technologies to the school curriculum.
Limkokwing University prides itself in being the first university which incorporates innovative and creative ideals and this partnership with Apple, further explores the growing technological expertise the two share.
The Epicentre will bring the latest Apple stellar products, up-to-date software and impeccable services to the university student’s door step.
The Apple store not only offers a wide range of products such as iPods, Macbooks and iMacs, but also provides a myriad of services that includes hardware and software upgrade.
The move to set up a store on campus grounds was welcomed whole-heartedly by Limkokwing Vice-president of International Development, Dato’ Dr Jayles Yeoh who believes that the Epicentre will benefit students on various levels.
“Having the Epicentre in Limkokwing will benefit the students academically as we are a creativity based university that uses an array of Apple software in our curriculum,” he said before adding, “Besides, it also fulfils the lifestyle needs of our students and staff.”
The store manager, Anthony Wong Chunwai highlighted that Apple and Limkokwing are the main trendsetters in creativity and innovation.
He added that Apple softwares and products are tailor made to cater for students needs.
The partnership between Limkokwing University and Apple Inc is the first and only one of its kind and further illustrates how dedicated the university is to bringing the newest technologies to its students as well as setting itself apart.
Mac computers and notebooks come with Mac OSX operating system which is highly efficient and is a better educational tool because it is less prone to virus attacks, faster and more efficient which means students who use Macs for their assignments would drastically save time.
The official launch of the store will be at the end of March.
