KUALA LUMPUR—CIMB Group chief executive Datuk Nazir Razak and Genting Bhd chairman and chief executive Tan Sri Lim Kok Thay were recognised as Directors of the Year 2007 by the Malaysian Institute of Directors (MID) tonight.

The institute’s Corporate Directors’ Banquet also saw Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi launching the book, Mission 2020—The Final Stretch, published by Limkokwing University of Creative Technology. The book highlights “how new strategies that address the current global scenario are needed to enable and empower Malaysians to play more effective roles.”

At the banquet, Telekom Malaysia Bhd chairman Tan Sri Muhammad Radzi Mansor, Asian Strategy and Leadership Institute director and Transparency International Malaysia president Tan Sri Ramon Navaratnam and Gamuda Bhd chairman Tan Sri Talha Mohd Hashim were inducted into MID’s Academy of Fellows.
