“For the past 3 weeks, the media has highlighted the war and suffering in Gaza. For the past 3 weeks innocent lives have perished. Innocent children were killed in the streets and in their homes. I wonder why did the killing go on for 3 weeks? 21 days! And nobody could do anything to stop it. There were meetings every day, world leaders met every day, released statements and petitions, thousands across the world took to the streets and demonstrated, but no one could do anything… nobody could stop the war. The Palestinians had no place to hide. Every single building on the streets and outskirts of Gaza has been damaged or destroyed. Where will these people go? How will they rebuild their lives? They have struggled long enough.”
