Limkokwing University bestowed three final contestants of Swaziland’s Miss Tourism 2015 with scholarships worth over E1.2 million to pursue their higher education in its flagship campus at Cyberjaya, Malaysia.

Nadia Nascimento became the first winning contestant to walk away with a brand new E Class Mercedes Benz. She was crowned with Lindelwa Dlamini and Noncedo Mdluli as the first and second princesses respectively.

“I am shocked and delighted at the same time about winning the crown, I didn’t expect such as all the girls were just amazing and I couldn’t hold my tears,” she exclaimed.

The annual beauty pageant was founded by Imbali Foundation, a women empowerment initiative, to boost the country’s tourism industry by grooming a worthy and talented ambassador who will represent the country as a positive role model for the youths of Swaziland.

Held at the prestigious Woodlands Conference Centre, the glamorous event was graced by Swaziland’s Miss Tourism pageant licence-holder, HRH Princess Sikhanyiso, Emazinyane Nemacandza eNkhosi (His Majesty King Mswati III’s children), Deputy Prime Minister Paul Dlamini, senior Princes and Princesses from the Royal household, ministers, international guests invited by the Royal household including royalties from Ghana and South Africa, celebrities and entrepreneurs from different Southern Africa countries.

Limkokwing University, as one of the Platinum sponsors of the beauty pageant, has been featured extensively in Swaziland’s media for its active involvement in the sponsorship front which includes awarding educational scholarships to the three finalists of Miss Cultural Heritage 2012/13 and Mr Swaziland 2014/15 pageants.

Since inaugurating its campus in 2011 at Swaziland, Limkokwing University has been notable for the excellent and innovative achievements by its students hailing from a wide range of fields including arts, architecture, entrepreneurship, entertainment, fashion & design, event management and sports. These achievements are testaments to the University’s contributions in the development and growth of Swaziland and its youths once they become a part of the Limkokwing’s diverse and vibrant multicultural community.
