A total of 34 countries came together at The Square Publika to embrace and celebrate cultural diversity organized by Limkokwing University. The ‘Cultural Exchange’ was held on the 27th-28th June, where students put together an outstanding cross culture experience that celebrated their country’s traditions, uniqueness and creativity.

The Cultural Exchange was part of the ‘Be the Best Exhibition’, running from the 26th June - 13th July. It was attended by the Chief Minister of Malacca, YAB Datuk Seri Ir. Hj. Idris bin Hj. Haron and his wife, who got a pleasure of watching their son perform on stage.

“Impressive show! What you saw on stage is the true manifestation of the actual spirit of Limkokwing University. I know Limkokwing will produce more talents as what the world needs now,” said Datuk Seri Ir. Hj. Idris.

The event had over ten booths that shared the students’ different culture not only among the Limkokwing community, but also the general public that graced the mall.

The multicultural crowed that attended the event was awed by the lively performance put together by Limkokwing University students. The performances were put together by four faculties; Faculty of Communication, Media & Broadcasting, Faculty of Fashion & Lifestyle Creativity, Limkokwing Sound and Music Design Academy and Performance Arts. The performances included live bands, dance, and a fashion parade.

Limkokwing University is a multi-diverse community consisting of students from over 160 countries worldwide. It also have campuses spread across three continents in nine countries. The University constantly encourages culture and heritage pride though events that allow students to share their cultures with others, like the Culture Festival held last month, which was held at the University’s plaza, and boasted over 53 booths, each representing a different country.
