This comprehensive sewing and tailoring course will give you a thorough understanding of sewing tools in more details, sewing and garment construction methods, used in the industry today. Through a combination of discussions, practical individual exercises and one-to-one consultations, you will explore use of sewing tools, different construction methods, working with different types of fabric and the laying and cutting of commercial multi-sized patterns. Through this, participants will learn a range of sewing techniques. Participants will also learn about different methods of inserting components such as invisible and lapped zips, different types of collars, neckline and sleeves and finishing garments professionally.


At the end of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Use tools and equipment in sewing and tailoring trade

  • Understand sewing terminologies and applying the techniques

  • Take correct body measurements

  • Design, draft, create patterns, cut, tailoring and finishing of garments
