The Diploma in Graphic Design and Multimedia programme is committed towards providing a comprehensive course that covers the basic skills in acquiring knowledge and research, and applying them to design solutions for industry-related projects.

Graphic design is all around us - from books, magazines, illustrations, television commercials and backdrops, company logos, brochures, stationery to packaging, signage, advertisements, web designs and CD-ROMs. The demand for graphic designers continues to grow as the communications industry develops new ways to communicate an idea, product or service.

Our diploma graduates are well versed in the graphic design and advertising industry. Students are multi-skilled, versatile and capable of multi-tasking and, therefore, make a smooth transition into industry. Students are exposed to a wide range of graphics and visual techniques - drawing, illustration, desktop publishing, photography and image manipulation and multimedia. This broad exposure enables students to specialise in a particular discipline in Year 3 of the programme such as illustrations, photography, advertising and multimedia.

At the end of the programme, students will be able to translate ideas into visual form. Their designs will embrace creativity, originality and technical competence. They will be highly skilled and knowledgeable in the production of computer graphics, visualising, finished art and design. They will also be able to develop effective strategies for goal setting, time management and to execute design concepts to a professional standard.
