Over 30 students from Brunei Kolej International Graduate School (KIGS) arrived at Limkokwing University in Cyberjaya on 8 October 2018 to begin the first day of the Global Classroom Programme.

The two-week programme aims to provide students in higher education with a short but intense curriculum exposure in Malaysia that will enable them to compete for employment in international organisations.

Themed ‘Engage, Equip and Empower Students to Own Their Future through Experiential Learning’, the programme is structured to combine a range of educational, industry, and curricular activities to give participants a unique insight into the work and life of professionals in Malaysia.

The first day of the programme was focused on a behind-the-scenes look at the various Malaysia-based corporate organisations in the branding and packaging industry, retail, as well administration practices.

Learning about creativity

Bachelor in Information Technology student, Muhd Adli Bin Kassim said that he was impressed with the grand welcoming on campus, which he described as an out-of-this-world experience.

“I also like how Limkokwing University gives so much importance to all the student works, which is a very good thing, especially acknowledging the efforts that has been put in,” he added.

For Bachelor in Information Technology student, DK Nursyazana Raihanah Binti. Sabaruddin, the first day of the programme was both entertaining and amazing.

“I am really excited for all the activities that’s lined up for the coming weeks, especially to learn so many things in such a multicultural environment,” she added.

Limkokwing University encourages industry exposure as part of the University’s multicultural learning programme, to help the participants to develop their confidence while increasing their job prospects abroad.
