A special charity screening of the film “TAKDIR” was held at Limkokwing University Hall of Fame on 8 March 2018 in conjunction with International Women’s Day (IWD).

The national-level celebration of IWD 2018 was hosted at the Cyberjaya campus, jointly organised with the Ministry of Women, Family and Community Development (KPWKM).

In attendance at the screening was the star-studded cast which included Riezman Khuzaimi and Elizad Sharifuddin.

Under the production of Rousing Muses Pictures, the film depicts the life of a wife, mother and a friend and the circle of events she goes through, mostly reflecting real life happenings.

Producer, Ken Chia, said the soothing environment in the Hall of Fame created a sense of calmness and readiness to watch this film, and he was happy to have this film screened at Limkokwing University.

“I have been in the film industry for over 27 years now, and this is my very first time attending a charity screening of a film in a University.” he said.

Lead actor, Riezman, was also floored by the atmosphere.

“The experience here was amazing and I like the type of energy this University brings,” Riezman said.

Earlier, Minister of Women, Family and Community Development, YB Dato’ Sri Rohani Abdul Karim, said Limkokwing was the best place to talk about and celebrate Women Empowerment.

“There is no other university like Limkokwing because of the diversity here, and celebrating International Women’s Day in such a vibrant environment provokes not only local but international attention as well,” said Dato’ Sri Rohani.
