The High Commissioner of Kenya to Malaysia His Excellency Francis Ndegwa Muhoro, CBS, ‘NDC’ (K) paid Limkokwing University’s flagship campus in Cyberjaya on 2 May 2019 to discuss possible future collaboration.

After being familiarised with the University’s history, philosophy and achievements through a guided tour of the campus and Presidential Library, the high-powered Kenyan delegation met with Founder and President of Limkokwing Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Paduka Dr. Limkokwing and the University’s senior management team.

His Excellency Muhoro began by thanking Tan Sri Limkokwing for the number of Kenyan students who were given scholarships in Limkokwing University.

“We appreciate the number of students given scholarships in your University. We need to work on establishing this institution in our country because the programmes are relevant,” said HE Muhoro.

He also highlighted the need for revolutionizing Africa’s conventional education system through introducing programmes designed to produce marketable graduates.

In agreement with the High Commissioner, Tan Sri Limkokwing confirmed that scholarships should continue with an additional ten for Masters and PhD students.

Tan Sri Limkokwing also mentioned several other ventures the Government of Kenya can explore with the University such as but not limited to, setting up a centre in Kenya to help up skill and upscale industries, create website content for Kenya to help brand the country to attract investment.

Having already changed the landscape of education in Botswana, Lesotho, eSwatini and Sierra Leone, where its African campuses are, Limkokwing University set to open four more campuses in Uganda, Namibia, South Africa and Nigeria.
