Limkokwing University of Creative Technology recently launched its new website in line with a contest giveaway where two lucky winners walked away each with a new Apple Macbook Air.
Limkokwing University of Creative Technology recently announced the winners of its Beta Launch Contest Giveaway- A contest held to increase the awareness of the University’s new website, particularly its revamped look and the many new features it has to offer. Both winners walked away with an Apple Macbook Air after beating the clock to win their prize.
The contest was open to the general public from the 5th of January 2014 till the midnight of the launch date, where they had to share the university’s webpage closest to the exact launch time in order to qualify as an entry. One winner was selected from the general public and one for a lucky Limkokwing University student.
The winner from the general public was Provisional Pharmacist, Chi Hau Chaw from Tuanku Fauziah Hospital Kangar who was in disbelief when he was informed as one of the winners. “I thought I was dreaming. I double checked a few times, I even asked my friend to read the email to me just to make sure I wasn’t under any delusions. It was really unexpected” he added.
24 year old Prasath A/L Balagee was announced as the winner for the student category of the contest. When asked regarding the contest results, the Year 2 Creative Multimedia Student had this to say, “I always access the university’s site to check on updates and the moment I saw the contest, I took part. I think I shared the link twice and I was anxious whether I managed to click on time”. Prasath added that he feels the new website is organized, simple and really user friendly. We asked Prasath what he would do with his new Macbook Air, he added, “ Since I am into photography, I need an extra laptop too keep my photos and to do simple editing on it, I think this Macbook Air is a perfect tool for the job”.
