Limkokwing University welcomed delegates from the Rajamangala University of Technology Krungthep during a campus visit on 23 May 2017.

The 83 delegates were comprised of instructors, lecturers and PhD students from Thailand. They visited the University for the opportunity to learn more about Limkokwing University’s creative and innovative learning approach.

Rajamangala University of Technology Krungthep is one of Thailand’s nine nationwide universities. This university specialises in science and technology with 10 faculties and one college that offers four educational programme levels in various disciplines, namely diploma programmes in vocational education, bachelor’s degree, master’s degree and doctorate’s degree programmes.

The tour enabled educators and teaching professionals to gain insights into the University’s multicultural environment as well as industry exposed education. Delegates were provided with a detailed description of the University’s facilities and teaching equipment.

Rajamangala University of Technology Krungthep Home-Economics Technology Faculty Dean Assistant Professor Dr. Duangrutai Thumrongchote said she became more interested in knowing more about the University’s management.

“I think Limkokwing University is a very creative university,” she said. “This creativity brings out the best in students.”

While exploring the University, she commented that having students from other countries gives a lot of benefit to students, especially while they are learning.

“Sharing cultures enables people to share ideas,” she said while adding that it enables students learn to live as one community.

Rajamangala University of Technology Krungthep Head of Product Development Chanon Sarasuk also added that multiculturalism is important in today’s modern society.

“I think Limkokwing is a futuristic University that brings students from different cultures together,” he said.

“The world is more global and borderless now,” he said. “Different cultures enable each person to develop themselves.”

Limkokwing University is a multicultural educational institution that accommodates students from 150 countries. Students gain global networking opportunities and cultural awareness to succeed internationally.
