Rainforest World Music Festival is a musical and blended into the rich culture and unique heritage of Borneo amidst its exquisite beauty of lush green tropical paradise in Kuching, Sarawak.

The annual three-day music festival comes alive in the Sarawak Cultural Village at the foot of Mount Santubong to celebrate world music by bringing together people from every nook and corner of the world. It’s a fusion of diverse ethnicities and cultural backgrounds that is beautifully reflected in the magical performances by musicians from all continents, playing all types of music – from the traditional, to world fusion and the contemporary.

The festival concerts are a musical rollercoaster for all music lovers as bands and artistes took to the stage to translate their passion and love for music into memorable performances. The music festival is once-in-a-lifetime experience that definitely deserves to be included in every music enthusiast’s bucket list.

This episode of DESTINATIONS features Katherine O’Dea, a performing arts student from United Kingdom who explores the fun-filled festival and cultural adventure with her companion and guide Shusheel Kaur, a Kuching native and lecturer at Limkokwing Borneo.
