Twelve delegates from various African investment promotion agencies recently visited Limkokwing University, Cyberjaya, for a campus tour and a presentation on the University’s success story.

The delegates were from investment promotion agencies in South Africa, Kenya, Ghana, Zambia, Ivory Coast, and Nigeria. They were in the country for a training program organised by the Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA).

The training program, sponsored by Malaysia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Japan International Corporation Agency, was conducted with the purpose of sharing MIDA’s success strategies, and to expose the African delegates to Malaysia’s Government policies and directions in attracting foreign as well as domestic investment.

As part of the program, MIDA invited successful companies and educational institutions of the country to share their success stories with the visiting delegates, and Limkokwing University was selected among the top universities to visit.

“Limkokwing University is really shaping the future of the youth worldwide. ”

MIDA delegates had recently visited Limkokwing for a campus tour, where they praised the University for its practical approach to education, which allows students to be actively involved in the industry whilst still studying.

The African investment agencies were also impressed with the University, hailing its diverse and vibrant atmosphere, high technology equipment, and top notch facilities as a conducive environment for learning.

“I think Limkokwing University is really shaping the future of the youth worldwide,” said Heather Mbaika Munyao from Kenya, an Investment Promotion Officer working with the Kenya Investment Authority.

“The difference between Limkokwing University graduates and any others is the obvious confidence of the Limkokwing students, which gives them more drive to excel.”

They went on to commend the University on the quality graduates it produces, saying that the graduates were industry ready from the go, and were confident of their ability to perform in the industry.

“One of the difference between Limkokwing University graduates and any others is the obvious confidence of the Limkokwing students, which gives them more drive to excel,” said Chabu Teresa Ng’andwe, Investment Promotion Officer from Zambia.

Arthur James Otenyo, an Investor Services Officer from Kenya said that Limkokwing University’s approach to education is a comprehensive way forward for anyone in order to keep up with the ever-changing world.

“The world is changing, and we cannot have a preset kind of syllabus anymore. Innovation, creativity and thinking outside the box are the way forward, so, in my opinion, there’s so much to learn from this University.”

Limkokwing University has an industry based style of education that provides students with necessary skills when they enter the working world. The University works with both local and international government agencies to promote industrialisation, development, and entrepreneurship.
