The “Demi Negara” music video competition is open until 30 September 2018 with a total of RM60,000 in cash prizes to be won in conjunction with the Limkokwing “Demi Negara” campaign.
The competition is open to Limkokwing students and also members of the public (Malaysian nationals only).
Just follow these three easy steps:
1) Download the “Demi Negara” song here
2) Shoot and produce your own music video to accompany the song
3) Upload your video to YouTube and email us the link at content@contentcreation.com.my
Submit your entry under your respective category - either Limkokwing Student or Public - and send it to us before the deadline on 30 September 2018.
What we are looking for is your creativity and originality, so feel free to shoot your video on your mobile phone or with professional equipment – the choice is yours.
Once all submissions are in, a panel of judges will select the best videos that will be featured on our social media channels which have over 2.2 million loyal followers worldwide.
The best of the best will stand to win the following:
Limkokwing Student Category (Malaysians only)
Grand Prize: RM15,000
First Runner-up: RM10,000
Second Runner-up: RM5,000
Malaysian Public Category
Grand Prize: RM15,000
First Runner-up: RM10,000
Second Runner-up: RM5,000
Entries in fourth to fifteenth place for both categories will each receive a Limkokwing Award of Excellence.
What is “Demi Negara”?
The official “Demi Negara” music video was produced by Limkokwing University in conjunction with this year’s National Day celebrations, which marks 61 years of the country’s independence.
Literally translated as “For the Nation”, this campaign is aimed at rallying Malaysians to set a new narrative about what Merdeka means and where the country is headed.
“Demi Negara” is the brainchild of Founder President, Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Paduka Dr. Limkokwing.
