Limkokwing University students from across faculties held an exhibition at IOI City Mall to showcase their artworks on 30 July.

Designs by Limkokwing University’s Faculty of Fashion, Lifestyle and Creativity students were showcased during the exhibition. The event also featured conceptual portraitures, fine art photography, and game designs.

“I feel proud that our students’ designs are showcased to the public,” said Faculty of Fashion Lifestyle and Creativity Lecturer Maria Sandra Wijaya. “Our students can present their creative talents with the opportunity to develop their credentials.”

The exhibition enabled visitors to learn more about Limkokwing University’s programmes and curricular activities with the assistance of the University’s marketing team.

Faculty of Communication, Media and Broadcasting student Tham Yongsen (Ezra), who is studying Professional Diploma in Performance Arts and Creativity, said the exhibition enabled him to build his credibility as a performer.

“Events like these help to generate more exposure for my performances,” he said. “It also helps develop my experience in front of a live audience.”

He explained that exhibitions organised by Limkokwing University encourages student from different faculties to showcase their creativity to the public.

Visitor Wan Azman Mohd Noor said that he was impressed by the designs and prototypes at the exhibition.

“I like how creativity is shaping the future,” he said. “Such exhibits show what students can learn from the University.”

Another visitor Joanne Yew said that the exhibition highlights various career opportunities for students interested in the creative industry.

“It shows that the fashion industry is very promising and has so much potential,” she said while adding that the exhibit has made her daughter take interest in fashion.

Limkokwing University conducts exhibitions as platforms for students to showcase their designs and talents. The University participates in exhibits, contests and fashion shows to promote designs and artworks by students. This enables graduates to gain a competitive advantage in the international market.
