Limkokwing University’s Global University Campus programme students visited the Southampton Solent University.
The students set off to the county of Hampshire located on the South coast of England, where they explored the student union building; its student run restaurant, library, practical training areas and the student entrepreneurship centre.
Southampton Solent University representatives gave the students a talk about Southampton’s approach to teaching and how it prepares its students to be industry ready.
Bachelor of Business (Hons) in International Business student, Shaharen found the fitness and sports fields at Southampton Solent especially interesting. “The facilities here are very impressive. Those studying sports science actually have the opportunity to work and train with Southampton Football Club.”
Student ambassadors then lead the group on a tour of Southampton, dividing groups based on their interests. One group of students enjoyed the arts gallery while another went to see the beautiful Southampton port with its cruise liners and castle wall ruins.
After returning to the University, faculty representatives then spoke to students about the new partnership with Limkokwing University in Cyberjaya. They were introduced to Southampton Solent degrees offered at Limkokwing University as well as twinning programmes.
The following Southampton Solent degree programmes are being offered at Limkokwing University: BA Accounting & Finance, BA Graphic Design, BA Business & Management, BSc Computing and BSc Information Technology Management.
“Limkokwing University gives students lots of support to develop their skills. The Global University Campus programme gives us a chance to enhance our practical and networking skills,” said Ausaf Khan studying Bachelor of Business (Hons) in Hospitality Management.
