Limkokwing University welcomed a delegation from Guardian Malaysia on 2 November 2018 for the much-awaited announcement of the winners of the Fresh Breath for Malaysia campaign competition launched on 6 August.

The competition received overwhelming response with some 100 submissions for both print and multimedia categories.

Of the high-quality works received, only five of the best from each category were shortlisted as finalists.

The winners were then decided by a panel of judges as well as online voting via the Limkokwing University and Guardian Malaysia Facebook pages.


Limkokwing University Vice President, Dato’ Raja Aznil Hisham, opened the ceremony by thanking Guardian Malaysia and all the students who turned up to show support for their friends who made it to the finas.

The floor was then passed to Brand Manager of Health and Beauty, Own Brand Malaysia and Brunei, Ms. Michelle Yeap.

“I am proud to be an alumna from this prestigious University and the one thing that all students must pick up from this place is, creativity,” said Michelle.


Proud Winners

For the print category, Lim Wei Xuan, who is currently studying for a Bachelor of Design (Hons) in Professional Design (Visual Communication), was announced as the top prize winner, taking home RM 3,000.

“I have to thank all my friends and lecturers who have made it possible for me to win this, and also Guardian Malaysia for providing such an opportunity for students to express their talents,” said Wei Xuan.

As for the multimedia category, Goh Ling Hua from the Faculty of Multimedia Creativity walked away with the first prize of RM 3,000.

“I was excited when I first heard about Fresh Breath for Malaysia, and I am truly proud of myself that all my effrorts and time has rewarded me with such a prize,” said the Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Creative Multimedia student.
