Limkokwing University welcomes Miss Universe Malaysia 2013

Kuala Lumpur – Limkokwing University welcomes the newly crowned Miss Universe Malaysia 2013, Carey Ng as reigning queen of the just ended pageant and Ambassador of the University. The beauty emerged as the winner of Miss Universe Malaysia 2013 during one of the year’s most exciting events of the year which pageant fans had been waiting on for months.

Limkokwing University of Creative Technology proudly presented the Most Inspiring Award to Kelsey Rabindran who showed her dedication during the course of the rigorous competition and her determination to soldier on. The Special Award was presented by Limkokwing University’s Associate Director, Emmeline Lyon.

The University has proudly been official Creative Partner of The Next Miss Universe Malaysia 2013 pageant providing the top 4 finalists with full scholarship from the University for any Course of their choice while the remaining finalists will receive 50% academic scholarships. The University also served as a venue, for most of the pageant’s challenges and all judging sessions as well as helping in production.

National Director of Miss Universe Malaysia Organization, Andrea Fonseka spoke on the collaboration; “MUMO 2013 stands out as being the only pageant offering platforms for success for not only the winner of the pageant but for all the finalists especially via the scholarship program generously supported by the Limkokwing University of Creative Technology. The University has recently been named Malaysia’s University of Innovation by the Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia, and has also been awarded as one of Asia’s leading Universities’ by QS Apple and we are pleased to have worked with them in providing this opportunity to all finalists.”

Dato’ Tiffanee Marie Lim, Associate Vice President, Talent and Brand Development also expressed her pride in the University being a part of the competition; “We take pride in being a part of such an event as well as being able to work with young people who are talented and empowered to go after what they want. The University has always supported thinking big and this is a great example of that. We will be cheering the newly crowned Miss Malaysia Universe on as she represents Malaysia to the world.” she said.

Limkokwing University, has always made it to the top, it was a pure delight as the official host and also the mentor for the finalists of the MUMO 2013, Nadine Ann Thomas, former Miss Malaysia Universe, 2010. Nadine is actually a graduate of Limkokwing University together with this year’s finalist Kelsey Rabindran who graduated from the Limkokwing Fashion School in 2011.
