Digital Content Connection (DCC) held a conference on Film Making and the Entertainment Industry which was officiated by the Press Attaché from the U.S. Embassy, Morgan O’Brien, on 20 November 2018 at Limkokwing University in Cyberjaya.

DCC is an independent digital content corporation which promotes and preserves motion pictures in Malaysia.

Four experts in the Film Making and Entertainment Industry were invited to share their experience and insights at the ProTalk conference which was opened not only to the students of Limkokwing but also to the public.

The speakers were Limkokwing University Senior Vice President, YM Dato’ Raja Aznil; a lecturer from Ohio University, Professor Frederick Lewis; Production Manager, Dhevakaar Suppiah; and Film Director and Executive Producer, CL Hor.

Professor Lewis, who has taught Narrative Film Making for 18 years, previously worked as a producer, writer, director and production manager based in New England.

He also shared his experience filming a short film in Malaysia titled “Home for Hari Raya”.

“Limkokwing University is an amazing place where creativity is at its centre and it is a diverse place as well,” said Professor Lewis.

“The creative communication that is the essence of Limkokwing is something that you would want to take when you leave,” he added.
