The Star and Limkokwing University explore collaboration on ‘Moving Malaysia Forward’
Limkokwing University welcomed representatives from the Star Media Group Berhad recently to discuss possible collaboration on ‘Moving Malaysia forward’.
The guests were led by Star Media Group advisor Datuk Seri Wong Chun Wai.
During the meeting with Limkokwing University’s Founding President Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Paduka Dr. Limkokwing and senior management, Datuk Seri Wong Chun Wai broached ideas of creating a campaign called #MYForward.
Giving the overall scenario of the country’s vision, Datuk Wong highlighted that next year will be a very important year for Malaysians because for 62 years they looked forward to 2020.
“In fact, in the year 2020; we will also host the second Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Leaders’ Summit meeting following the one in 1998, and I hope that #MYForward campaign will make Malaysia exciting again,” he said.
He also added that Tan Sri Limkokwing is a man with many positive ideas and hence the decision to explore ideas in creating a campaign which will help Malaysian to move forward.
Meanwhile, Sharon Lee the Star Media Group’s General Manager, Client Brand and Marketing added that the #MYForward campaign’s main objective will revive the Malaysian pride and inspire a sense of national pride by sharing past and present success stories using the five key topics which are sports, business, infrastructures, education and arts & cultures.
Additionally, the campaign will redefine the external perception of Malaysia and future generations will be empowered with the knowledge to striving towards a better Malaysia.
